 Jan 20 rehearsal cancelled Hi PWMP-ettes, Heads up!  I have a cold.  I'm pre-emptively canceling  this Tues rehearsal. I'm not too sick to go to PHILO tonight, masked, but the concert is next Saturday, otherwise I would stay home. I've tested.  It's not covid.  It's the germy 5 yr old, whom I adore, who repeatedly sneezed on me on Friday.  🙂 I'm much better than yesterday, but in the spirit of caution, I'm cancelling this Tuesday, Jan 20, rehearsal for additional healing and so as not to inadvertently share the germs with you all.  (Cancelled all my lessons, too, and sadly, the cleaning people.) Remember, next Tuesday 1/27 is also off for PWMP because of PHILO's special Production Week rehearsal. Please email Mary Fallon to volunteer to usher or work the ticket table for the concert on Sat Jan 31 at 4 PM.  Philo needs your help.   NOTE:  4 PM Saturday afternoon concert. Yes - rehearsal is tonight January 6 Repertoire is  HOLST: Hymns from the Rig Veda Rajasekar: Ushas - Goddess of Dawn HOLST: Welcome Joy and Welcome Sorrow. Extra copies are at the church already, I believe January 13: NO Pwmp rehearsal. We will be screening ROBIN HOOD as part of the Philo Concert Celebration.  Come. It will be fun. January 20: regular rehearsal January 27:  No PWMP rehearsal;  Philo Production Week Tuesday rehearsal Then all Tuesdays as normal Philo concert January 31 at 4 PM.  January key dates and new rehearsals this spring (PWMP) Dear PWMP,  Happy, Happy Holidays.  We'll be together next on Jan 6.  You should have the music already.  We'll start with Imogen's "Welcome Joy and Welcome Sorrow."  Please look it over. In January we will MISS two rehearsals for Philo rehearsals.   (NO rehearsal on Jan 13.  We're showing a movie instead.  Come to the movie!  Robin Hood (1938), music by Erich Korngold. Come dressed as the Merry Band of Sherwood Forest.  Costumes optional. (NO rehearsal Jan 27, Philo's production week.  Will those of you not in PHILO, please volunteer to usher? Let's plan now for some extra Wednesdays and a Saturday.   March 4 - Wednesday 7:30 March 28 - Saturday morning April 8 - Wednesday 7:30 April 25 - Saturday morning Our concerts are April 26 and April 28.  Places announced soon. I. Am. So. Proud. Of. You. Dear Pwmp-ettes,  Thank you for such a great concert series.  I think you gifted the audiences at both locations with Comfort and Joy!   As I write this, I'm grinning ear to ear.  Lots of people told me that they loved it.  Some in the audience who are experienced choral afficionados remarked at your high skill level and difficulty of the music.  One wept in my arms and thanked YOU for sharing the music, the beauty, and the deep feelings.  If you heard other comments, please send them to me.  It's good for us to know and save what our audience thinks.  We try to collect them.  PWMP call time and set-up needs for concert Tue Dec 9 On my Nov 24 email (Found on our blogspot!- thank you very much, Julia and Janine!) we said the call time for Tuesday would be 6:30.   HOWEVER, apparently we have to help set up the chairs in the chapel. We have to warm up and run through a few things starting promptly at 6:30 so that the doors can open close to 7pm for our guests.
